The Grass Was Enticing.

I had a wonderful afternoon a few weeks ago photographing this gorgeous little family. Although it was a tad windy this afternoon we found a patch out of the wind for little K to sit in – here was where her obsession of the grass/weeds was found. The expression on her face made us all giggle as she tried her hardest to reach the grassed area and attempt to eat some of it.
Little peoples expressions are priceless and so innocent. This is such a beautiful age to photograph too. Thank you lovely guys.

Awaiting the next chapter

Nikki came to me and shared how her and her husband Gerard had waiting for some time for their precious little one. Now toward the end of their pregnancy they were so excited that their dreams were so close to coming true.

Although getting hot and feeling the end of her pregnancy Nikki was so wonderful to photograph and really didn’t complain one bit about having to stand for a little while during her session. Thank you Nikki, I enjoyed our time together.

A Boost of energy

I had the great fun and pleasure of photographing the awesome team of Boost Juice Bundaberg last week. We were doing this in preparation for this weeks joint promotion (see below).

Christmas Offer – 2011

I know, I know we don’t want to start thinking about Christmas at all. Well I sure don’t. That means the year has flown by, our kids are getting bigger and we can’t keep up.
For me personally this year has been MASSIVE with so many changes and new opportunities. It has been nothing short of amazing actually.

I wanted to offer something for families that maybe just wanted to update their family portrait and not have an entire session. Also this gives a great gift for Christmas with the added bonus that you get to have the benefit of the images too

Brooke and Elliott

Brooke and Elliott picked an amazing day to have their wedding. It was all seasons in one and not one of them interrupted their plans (well not really).

The weather certainly is something there is no control over what-so-ever but also something that can completely change the look of an image. Overcast weather means you don’t have to compete with harsh, unflattering sun. Large clouds mean an interesting sky. Warm sun means beautiful warm colours over the grass at sunset.

Waking up Saturday morning the town was met with grey skies and threatening clouds. Then all of a sudden the sky went completely black and the wind blew like crazy. A storm hit and it was heavy and gloomy. I arrived at the location of the bridal party and as I did the weather started to break and the clouds passed on.

Brooke and Elliott chose to have their photographs taken before they exchanged their vows as so many of their guests had travelled to be part of their day. This allowed them to spend time with them and also enjoy a relaxing afternoon. It was exciting and fun to do things differently.

Congratulations to you both – I know you will be very happy for ever more.

“Blowin’ in the Wind”

Agnes Waters, what a stunning location this is for a wedding. When Rachael and Mark went here they knew it was the right place for their special day.

I am always more then happy to travel to weddings and see new places. And I have to say within minutes I loved Agnes. Such a individual location which had a beautiful atmosphere.

Although blowing a gale on Saturday the weather was still really stunning. We just chose to leave the flowers behind as they were literally being torn apart in the wind. Poor things, they were so beautiful too!
Rachael and Mark share what to me was a very natural and honest relationship. They were happy to have time together enjoying their new marriage and the fun that the (hilarious) bridal party provided. It was
a great day all round!

Thank you Rachael and Mark, I adore you both.

One Day To Go

Rob and Jess came into the studio for a last minute maternity session – one day before Jess’ official due date. I was so pleased that they made it in time.

As you can see Jess looks so amazing, and not quite ready to have the baby as she looks just too amazing (you have to agree right)?

I am really looking forward to that special time with them in the studio again to see if the baby is a boy or a girl. Can’t wait for that!

A beautiful Soul

Some of you will remember Lorena. She has featured here in the past and is actually a very special friend to me.

Lorena is an amazing woman, always so quick to help and give to others. She is a rock in my life and I love her dearly. I had been trying to figure out how to show her this and to celebrate not only who she is now but also who she aspires to be in the future.

Having children is such a blessing and roller coaster of a ride. As women at times we can be so bogged down in everything “motherhood” that we lose sight of who we are – beautiful women.

Together with the amazing Selina Hancock for hair and make up we all came together and celebrated Lorena – an amazing woman!

1 week early

Baby Eli was photographed on his due date. One week after his birth. If parents were to be cloned they need to look at the adoring Kirsten and Steve. Both were totally smitten by baby Eli and you can see the love in their images.

Eli was a little unsettled at the start of his session but once he had pooed all over me he was a dream to photograph. All part of the service I say!

A huge congratulations to what is a beautiful family!!
