The Perfect Name

When I met Tamina at her maternity session we discussed what names she was considering. Imagine my excitement when she let me know that she loved the same name as my eldest daughter – Miranda. I just adore that name so much!

Not knowing if they were having a boy or girl it was so wonderful to hear that baby Miranda turned out to be a girl and she was named the most perfect name too!

As you can see she certainly is beautiful!

The Best Playmate!

When Britta let me know they were expecting another baby I was thrilled that her and Scott were wishing to come back to me for their new arrivals first portraits. It really is such a special and important shoot, and I am always honoured to be part of it.

You may recognise the newest big brother here on our blog – Kia – from his session last year where he was just so cute! And as you can see he is in love with his new playmate and brother.

Sometimes toddlers aren’t interested in a family portait and I don’t like to push these things as they are at such a vulnerable time as they adjust to a new family dynamic. All we do is go with the flow, and as you can see from the family image below it always works out for the best!

Thank you Scott and Britta, your boys are beautiful!

Cold and Wet – who cares?

This little family are growing up before my eyes. I have now photographed them a few times including a very special wedding day that was so, so much fun!

It is always amazing to watch people grow, change and change through images. These guys just seem to be getting cuter too!

Thank you again Jamie and Kat, it’s always fun!

Giddy Up

You know time is flying past way too quickly when a tiny little baby you photographed at days old is now riding her rocking horse, chasing her puppies and being too cute and cheeky.

Illiana, Wayne and Lisa literally connected with me on a really close friendship when Illiana was a newborn. We had a great shoot back then and I was fortunate enough to also photograph her lovely Christening. When Lisa mentioned a family session I jumped with excitement.

It was a great afternoon which involved the above activities and another melting heart from me when photographing this adorable family! Love you guys!

Boy v’s Girl

When Tamina rang I sat down and felt like I was chatting to an old friend instantly. She let me know about her pregnancy and how much she and her husband David were looking forward to becoming parents.

The same old question came from my mouth (shamed): “Do you know if you are having a boy or girl”….most couples these days seem to find out but I was so, so excited when Tamina said they didn’t know and wanted to wait to find out.

When I met Tamina in the studio for her maternity shoot our chats continued. It was just fun! I seriously could not guess if she was having a boy or girl…I knew David thought boy….I thought nothing.

I am happy to say that they had a baby girl who shall be featured on the blog at a later time.

Here is stunning Tamina:
