Mr Placid and his 2-part photography session.

Newborns aren’t always easy to photograph, but always worth it in the long run. Well, this little man could have been rolled and moved over and over and not made a protest ever I think. He did “party hard” the night before his Mum told me, and I was secretly glad as this made him quite exhausted come the morning.

He was beautiful, just beautiful! At only 4 days old he melted my heart.

This is my Godson, perfection.

{I have loaded up most of L’s gallery to show an example of a newborn shoot}.

Car keys to get the shot!

Sunday afternoon was full of boys. Boys who were having fun, didn’t like sleeping (so cute!), and a particular little boy who was fascinated with my car keys!

The lovely Alysha and Michael are getting married next year (keep an eye out for more stunning images then), and they also decided to get some family portraits done as they have their newest little baby to add to the family. We tried for some time to get lovely sleepy shots but let me tell you they weren’t going to happen. But that was more then ok, we got to chat weddings! Then all of us headed to my favourite farm house and met for a whole family session.

The boys were really great, and seemed to really love rolling around in the long grass. Makes for some great shots of them just being them.

Looking forward to next year, as I get to photograph these guys again then.

But there’s cow poo!

We grew up together, played in the cubby house together (I do happen to be scared from her locking me up in that thing one day!). We really had so many great summers living behind each other. Bek and I have been friends for a very long time, and it was such a great buzz to catch up yesterday and photograph her and her lovely family.

K was just a delight and really embraced the location, cooking berries for a long time and enjoying being on the look out for “but there’s cow poo!”. R was nothing but excited and smily, his legs never stopped showing how happy and easy going he really is.

It was great to meet up once again and even have Grandparents from interstate and locally (Great Gran too!). It is so important to get all the family in photographs together. Preserving memories – what a great way to spend an afternoon!

Bek and Dave, safe travels all the way home to Mount Isa. Keep in touch x

She is mine, and I love her so!

I had a chance last weekend to finally take some time out and be with my big girl. I have wanted to do some images of her with her violin for some time. She is such a great player, and it is something I always want to remember through these images.

It was blowing a gale, but she was so great and did all I asked her to do. We got some images that remind me – as a Mother – just how important stunning shots of your children are. To me these are priceless:

Our children grow too fast.
Blink and they are walking.
Blink and they are ten!
Blink and they are leaving home.
Blink and the cycle begins for them.

To my precious girl, I adore you and I think you are amazing. Your dreams are mine and I can’t wait to see you achieve all you want to.

Love Mummy x

Talk about glowing!!

Lorena and I have been good friends since Grade 1 I believe. This is her 3rd baby and I was so excited about her shoot. I photographed her just over 2 years ago with her last pregnancy so I remembered how stunning she really is.
This little one is due on my birthday – how cool would that be? I can’t wait to see if it is a boy or girl, and photograph him/her.
Lorena, I thank you so very much for going along with my ideas, and for your ongoing support. Loving you x
