Sydney sweethearts

Friday last week I had the pleasure of being in Sydney for the wedding of Turi and Rachel. I had photographed Turi with the rest of his family late last year and when his Mum, Lindy asked me to go to Sydney there was no way I couldn’t. They are a sweet family that really value photography.

Turi and Rachel had a lovely day surrounded by supportive family and friends. It was such a great time with the really fun bridal party who again had me in fits of laughter. As you are about to see they are such a beautiful couple (inside and out). I wish them all the very best with their lives together.

The long awaited day

Kamala and Steve -who I think are such a sweet, kind and loving couple – were married on Saturday. Their ceremony was held at Waterview Estate which is always glorious. Due to the rain the ceremony was under a lovely marquee which was just perfect. The rain stopped soon after the couple said “I DO” and stayed away all afternoon, it really was perfect!

Photographs are very important to this couple (I did their family shoot a few months back) and Kamala and I spent some time location scouting and discussing what they wanted from the day. I love couples who get right into the shoot. You really can see this in the results. Together we came up with a few new locations, which had me very excited. It was just wonderful.

Kamala and Steve have two precious little girls who were obviously a very important part of the day. After the ceremony we had a few quite moments to get some shots of the four of them together. Such a special time.

Their reception was held at the newly refurbished Spinnaker in Bundaberg, which is now owned by past wedding clients of mine. Tallus and Brett have an eye for detail and the way they looked after this crowd was outstanding. Amazing service and the food was delicious I must say!

Everything really was wonderful and perfect for the wedding. Perfect couple, family, bridal party, locations, reception and FUN!!! Here are only a few of my many, many (MANY) favourite shots. These are only quickly treated as I am out of town for some time.

Steve and Kamala, enjoy the Island and relax and soak up the moments. Please do have a few cocktails for me too! See you both soon x

A wedding information night is being held 21 September 2010 for local brides wanting to meet with some of the wedding industry professionals.

The smooth running of your wedding day very much depends on the suppliers you choose to help you make the day magical.

Together with some other suppliers I will be at the Bundaberg Floral and Garden Centre from 6:15pm. Please RSVP at the florist if you intend to come along.

Drinks and Canapes’ will be supplied (yum!).

Trees, sheds, dead trees and a lake!

Joseph and Kristen were married on Saturday at what was such a cute and most sweet wedding, the thoughtful and personal touches were never ending. The bonbonnieres were home made by Joseph, the “fingerprint” tree was a hit (I am on there as my friend the bridesMAN Nathan said I had to!) and the atmosphere was pure magic.

Kristen looked a million dollars in her exquisite dress, with beautiful brown heels. And the boys were finished off perfectly with some lovely button holes (their flowers) – some of which were from Joseph’s native flower garden.

A beautiful garden ceremony was held at Bargara Berries with the marquee reception there also – and I heard rave reviews regarding the food too. Flowers were by Lonnies Floral Art Studio, which Kristen said were beyond her dreams as they were just so unique and stunning. So great to get professionals behind you that deliver each time.

Anyways, my part was to take some beautiful shots of some lovely people. The whole bridal party was fun and easy to work with. They did think it was funny as we drove from “a tree, with a shed” to another “shed with a tree, and some long grass” and then onto “some dead trees by a lake”.

Another great attraction on the night was a photobooth – it didn’t start til I left but Kristen and I wanted to try out some of the props:

And here is a classic family portrait (nice smile there Nathan!!):
