The graveyard

The girls and I drive past the cemetary here in town quite often as it is on the way to the shopping centre. They have been asking to go there again for some time. They seem to be very interested in reading the headstones and looking at the beautiful heads some have.

We went there yesterday afternoon and I decided to attempt a photoshoot. I am wanting and trying to learn more about backlight and sunflare. I managed to get some photographs I am happy with, so I thought I would share with you all:

This is us, the 4 of us

Here is my family, we are all a bit daggy and individual that’s for sure! G (Miss 5) doesn’t enjoy having her photograph taken so I had to think of a way to bribe her. Well, drawing with chalk on the wall did the trick today! She did the 2 little people up the top of the heart -her and her sister M (who she gave 4 legs to LOL). The other photograph is us at a charity car rally. DH is the Prince, G is Cinderella, M and I are the ugly step-sisters!!

The start of the school holidays YAY!

Well today sees the last day of school for 2 weeks for my girls. We are heading to New South Wales to see my sister, her DH and their little girl Z. We are really excited as this will be the last time we see my sister heavily pregnant and can’t wait to meet the baby.

I am very much looking forward to some pregnancy shots with her. She is such a beautiful woman with an amazing belly bump too! keep an eye out for some shared shots here in the near future. Here is a couple of her when we last caught up (she was around 26 weeks then):

It made my day

I found out last weekend that one of my photographs have been picked to be used in the Australian Breastfeeding Association’s annual calendar. I was so excited and thrilled. I have been part of the www.breastfeeding.asn.au (ABA) for a long time and always loved seeing the calendar.

Here is the pic of my friends baby B at 8 days of age:

My journey

So here is a blog, about my photography. It is great to be able to share a few photographs with clients before I get the full editing done…..this is the point of my blog.

I started having a real interest in photography after getting a place in a local town competition with my point and shoot. From there I got decided to purchase a dSLR and see where I could go with it. I quickly discovered that this was IT! I then knew what I wanted to do when I grew up!

Feel free to add any comments and look when you can. Hope it brings you joy.
